I found myself realizing I humming along to samplings of Disney songs like “Baby of Mine” and songs from Tarzan while watching the amazing acrobatics Cirque du Soleil is known for. Known for its distinct live music, Cirque du Soleil perfectly wove Disney’s treasured songs into its melodies. The magical combination of artistry and music was beautiful. This is the show Disney and Cirque du Soleil have been waiting for. Drawn To Life was originally scheduled to open in April 2020, but as we all know Cirque du Soleil like the rest of the world shut down.īut intermission is over, live performances have returned and thankfully so has Cirque du Soleil. Unfortunately, what happened next was 2020. We saw one of La Nouba’s final performances in 2017, and we were excited to see what would happen next after its 19-year run. It’s shocking to believe that Disney has been without a Cirque du Soleil show for four years. Live performances, oh how we’ve missed you. Thank you to Disney for inviting me to be part of the special grand opening event. Welcome back to the stage and welcome back to Disney Cirque du Soleil.
Disney Springs’ brand new Cirque du Soleil show, Drawn to Life, is everything Disney needed in that venue and it is everything Cirque du Soleil fans and Disney fans will treasure.
Intermission is over! There could not be a more poignant catchphrase for the return of Cirque du Soleil, and the grand opening of Drawn To Life is proof that Act 2 is gearing up to be even better than Act 1.
